The audience, more than the features. All four let fans pay a creator a monthly subscription. MyFans, CANDFANS and Fantia are Japanese-language platforms built for fans in Japan. OnlyFans is an international platform whose revenue comes mostly from abroad: in the 2024 accounts of Fenix International, the company behind it, nearly two thirds came from the United States and about a fifth from the UK and Europe.

That difference decides almost everything else: which language the page is written in, when the fans are awake, how they find the page and what they expect in the inbox. It is less a choice between four apps than a choice between two markets.

Time is the other constraint. Two pages mean two content plans and two inboxes. Filming is the one job nobody can take off your hands, so plan the second page around the hours you actually have, not the hours you wish you had.
