OnlyFans Agency in New York City

Jan

Jan, founder of Elvision Studios

New York City is one of the few American cities that taxes residents' income itself, on top of New York State. For a single creator with $80,000 of taxable income, the city adds $2,975.80 to the state's $4,235.50, so $7,211.30 before a dollar of federal tax. In Los Angeles the same income costs $3,878.64 in state tax and nothing to the city. This page works through the numbers. We have no office in New York.

What we handle for creators in New York City

Management is remote, in your time zone and in English or German. You make the content, we build the business around it.

  • Round the clock chatA trained team writes to your fans in your voice, builds the relationship and sells pay-per-view content, including nights and weekends.
  • Reach on TikTok, Instagram and RedditWe plan and post, test hooks and send new fans to your page. What works we read off the numbers, not off a hunch.
  • Content and pricing strategyWe plan what you shoot, set pay-per-view prices and clean up your feed. We leave your subscription price alone unless there is a reason, because changing it kills rebills.
  • Identity protection and leak checkGeoblocking if you want it, no legal name in anything fans see, and DMCA takedowns for leaks we find. The leak check is free and done by hand.

Our share is calculated on net, after OnlyFans keeps its 20 percent, and is only due in months where we beat the monthly target in your contract. The target is your own previous month. If we miss it, our share that month is zero. No setup fee, no fixed monthly cost, no minimum term, no exit fee.

Two income taxes before the federal one

Most American creators deal with two layers of income tax: federal and state. New York City residents deal with three. The city's own resident income tax is filed with the state return, using its own rate schedule.

For 2025, the New York City schedule for single filers runs 3.078 percent on the first $12,000 of city taxable income, then $369 plus 3.762 percent over $12,000, then $858 plus 3.819 percent over $25,000, and $1,813 plus 3.876 percent over $50,000. Below $65,000 of city taxable income you use the city's tax table rather than the schedule, which comes out at the same place.

New York State's schedule for single filers starts at 4 percent, reaches $600 plus 5.5 percent over $13,900, $4,271 plus 6 percent over $80,650, and $12,356 plus 6.85 percent over $215,400. The state part is the same in Buffalo or Albany; the city part is what makes New York City different.

What that adds up to

On $40,000 of taxable income, a single New York City resident owes $2,035.50 in state tax and $1,430.85 in city tax, so $3,466.35 in total. On $80,000 it is $4,235.50 plus $2,975.80, so $7,211.30. On $150,000 it is $8,432 plus $5,689, so $14,121.

The city part alone is roughly 3.6 to 3.8 percent of taxable income once you are past the first few thousand dollars. That is close to a flat surcharge on everything you earn in the city, which is why it matters more the better a year you have.

These figures are income tax only. Federal income tax and self-employment tax come on top, and both are the same wherever in the United States you live.

New York against Los Angeles

California taxes more steeply at the top but has no city income tax in Los Angeles. On $40,000 of taxable income, California's schedule gives $963.93, against $3,466.35 in New York City, a difference of $2,502.42.

On $80,000, Los Angeles comes to $3,878.64 against $7,211.30, so New York costs $3,332.66 more. On $150,000 it is $10,388.64 against $14,121, a difference of $3,732.36. The table above compares the same three amounts.

The gap narrows at much higher incomes, where California's 10.3, 11.3 and 12.3 percent bands take over, but for the income range most creators are in, New York City is the more expensive of the two.

The 184 day rule

Whether you owe the city tax at all is a residency question, and the state's instructions are specific: if you maintain a permanent place of abode in the city and spend 184 days or more there, counting any part of a day as a day, you may be considered a resident for New York City income tax purposes.

For a creator who films in the city but keeps a home upstate, or who moves mid-year, that line decides thousands of dollars. It is also the kind of question that gets audited, so it belongs with a CPA rather than with a rule of thumb from a website.

We are not tax advisers, and nothing on this page is advice about your residency.

Self-employment tax: the same in every city

The IRS puts the self-employment tax rate at 15.3 percent, made up of 12.4 percent for Social Security and 2.9 percent for Medicare. For earnings in 2026, the Social Security part applies up to a base limit of $184,500. Above the threshold for your filing status, an Additional Medicare Tax of 0.9 percent applies.

One piece of good news that creators often miss: you can deduct the employer-equivalent portion of your self-employment tax when figuring your adjusted gross income.

None of this changes by city. A move from Manhattan to Miami changes your state and city tax, never your self-employment tax.

What really decides what you keep

Tax rates matter, but the platform and the agency cut come first. OnlyFans keeps 20 percent of every payment: of $100 a fan pays, $80 reaches you. An agency share comes off after that, and whether it is calculated on net or gross makes a large difference at the same percentage.

At Elvision Studios our share is calculated on net, after OnlyFans' 20 percent. It is only due in months where we beat the monthly target in your contract, and the target is your own previous month. If we miss it, our share for that month is zero. There is no setup fee, no fixed monthly cost, no minimum term and no exit fee.

Our free commission calculator shows you, with your own numbers, how much growth an agency share needs to pay for itself.

Staying discreet in New York

Eight million people is not the same as anonymity. Your building, your block, your gym and your regular coffee place are all recognisable, and a single street sign in the background of a clip places you.

If you want, we block the United States on OnlyFans, so users located there generally do not see your page. If that is too much of your market, we can block a narrower set of countries instead and work on what appears in your backgrounds.

Blocking does not stop VPNs or leaks. Our free leak check means our team searches manually for where your content appears, sends you a report within 24 to 48 hours and files DMCA takedown requests for every leak found.

Questions to settle early with a CPA

For the New York examples to apply to you, a few questions deserve early answers.

First, whether you are a city resident under the 184 day rule. Second, what your taxable income actually is after the deductions you can take, since every figure on this page starts there. Third, whether you should make quarterly estimated payments. Fourth, how payouts from a platform are reported and how an agency share is recorded as an expense.

How we start with a New York creator

One sentence on WhatsApp, Instagram or by email is enough, or fill in the free profile audit if you would rather not write first. We reply within 24 hours, in your time zone.

In the audit we look at your page and your numbers. You get a concrete list of what we would change and an honest yes or no. The audit is free, with no minimum revenue and no minimum follower count.

If we work together, the monthly target is written into the contract before we start, and you get your numbers every week. With three layers of income tax, knowing your figures early is worth more in New York than almost anywhere else.

No office in New York

We have no office in New York or anywhere else in the United States, despite being a US company. Elvision Studios works fully remotely; the company is Elvision LLC, based in Sheridan, Wyoming, as stated in our legal notice. The team works in German, English, Spanish and French.

There are no in-person meetings. The first conversation and the day-to-day work run on WhatsApp.

When am I a New York City resident for tax?

The state's instructions point to a permanent place of abode plus 184 days or more in the city, where any part of a day counts as a day. It is a question for a CPA, not a website.
