How the calculator adds it up

Coverage is hours per day times accounts times days. Around the clock for one account is 168 rota hours a week, which is 4.2 full-time chatters before anyone is sick or on holiday. Cover adds the hours that keep the rota filled.

Wages are paid hours times the hourly wage. Commission is a share of sales, here taken from total revenue. Management is a share of wages, recruiting is per full-time chatter, software is per account.

Why the wage is rarely the biggest problem

Cheap hours get expensive through turnover: every chatter who leaves has to be found, trained and checked again, and fans notice the change in tone. The quality of the conversations moves revenue far more than a dollar per hour in wages.

In-house or with an agency

In-house gives you full control and full responsibility for hiring, shifts and quality. With an agency the chat team is part of the share. Compare the total from this calculator with the share an agency would take, and ask whether chat costs are billed on top. At Elvision Studios they are not.

How many chatters do I need for 24/7 coverage?

For one account, 168 hours a week divided by a 40 hour week is 4.2 full-time chatters. With holidays, sickness and people leaving, plan for more. The cover setting adds exactly that.

What do OnlyFans chatters earn?

Pay varies widely by language, experience and country, and often combines an hourly or shift rate with a commission on sales. That is why the calculator uses your numbers instead of a market rate.

Is outsourcing chatting cheaper?

It can be, if the outside price covers what this calculator lists: cover, supervision, recruiting and software. Compare totals, not hourly rates.

Does Elvision Studios bill chatting separately?

No. The chat team is part of our share on net, and there are no chatter costs or tool fees on top.
