How do I stay anonymous as a creator in Germany?

The reason is your market. If your page speaks German, most of your paying fans are in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and blocking Germany cuts off the core of it. Users located in a blocked country generally do not see the page, though a VPN gets around it. So for a German-language page the block is rarely worth it, while for an English-language page aimed at the United States it can be a cheap extra layer. We tell you beforehand what it costs.

Everything else carries the weight. A stage name instead of your legal name. No face unless you want one; plenty of successful pages never show it. Nothing that places you: the view from your window, a street sign, a number plate, your regional accent in a voice note. We go through your content with you before the start and point out what could give you away.

Then the accounts. The page gets its own email address, its own phone number and ideally its own device, so no contact sync or login alert ever links it to your private profiles. Never reuse photos from your private accounts; a reverse image search finds them.
