What does a video editor do at Elvision Studios?

You turn raw footage from our creators into short vertical videos for TikTok and Instagram: hook, pacing, cuts, on-screen text and sound. One longer clip usually becomes several versions, which we test against each other to see what brings followers and subscribers.

These videos are how a creator gets discovered, so an editor who understands why a clip works matters as much as one who is fast. You work with the team that plans the content and with the posters who put it online.

How much work is it, and when?

Editors do not work in shifts like the chat team. You work to deadlines, on the number of hours a week you agree with us.

A steady amount of work
Our creators film every week, so there is always material. We agree with you how many hours a week you take on, and the volume follows that.
Deadlines, not fixed hours
Each batch comes with a deadline. You plan your day around it, as long as the deadline holds.
Feedback on what performed
We test versions of a clip against each other and tell you which ones worked. Good editors use that to get better every week.

What do you need to bring?

Experience editing short-form video
You have cut reels, TikToks or Shorts for someone else before, as a freelancer, for an agency or for a creator. Hooks, pacing, captions and sound come naturally to you.
A portfolio you can link
A Google Drive folder, a TikTok or Instagram account you edit for, or any link that shows your work. Without it we cannot take your application.
A laptop or desktop that can handle video
A week of material cannot be edited on a phone at the quality we need, so we do not hire for it.
English good enough for briefs
Briefs and feedback are written in English. You do not need to write like a native speaker, you need to understand exactly what is asked.
Reliability
A deadline you agree to holds. If something gets in the way, you say so before the deadline, not after.
Discretion
You see unreleased material and parts of the creators' private lives. None of it leaves the team.
Remote setup and 18 plus
Internet fast enough to upload video, a place to work, at least 18 years old.

Which tools do we work with?

Use what you are fastest in. What matters is the result, not the software.

CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro
All fine, as are After Effects for motion work and anything else that gets the result. The form asks which ones you use.
Captions and on-screen text
Subtitles and text on screen are part of almost every video, styled to the account they are made for.
Trends and sounds
You follow what is working on TikTok and Instagram right now and bring ideas, not only cuts.

What should your portfolio show?

Short vertical videos you edited yourself, ideally for a person rather than a brand: talking to the camera, lifestyle, trends. A handful of pieces is enough, and we look at the first seconds of each one first, because that is where a viewer decides.

If your best work cannot be shared, send what you can and describe the rest in the message field. A link to an account you edit for counts as a portfolio.

What do you earn?

A fixed monthly amount, well above what the same work usually pays in the Philippines. It does not depend on how busy a month is.

The test edit and the trial period are paid, so you never work for free to prove yourself. We agree the monthly amount with you in the first conversation, before you put time into a test edit, and we do not change it afterwards. It is freelance work, not employment.

A short, paid test edit from real raw material, with a clear brief. That shows us how you work on our kind of content.
Trial period
A first stretch of real, paid work on one account. After that both sides decide.

Questions about the role

Do I need experience to apply?

Yes. This role is for editors who have cut short-form video for someone else before, and the form asks for a portfolio link. We are not hiring beginners for it at the moment.

Is this full time or part time?

Both work. You tell us how many hours a week you can take on, and we plan the volume with that. It is freelance work with a fixed monthly amount, not employment.

Is the material explicit?

No. Everything you edit is short-form content for Instagram and TikTok, and none of the raw material is explicit. The creators work on platforms like OnlyFans, but what reaches you is made for social media and follows its rules.

Can I edit on a phone?

Not for this role. A week of material needs a laptop or desktop and a proper editing program. The form asks what you edit on.

Do I need to speak German, Spanish or French?

No. Briefs and feedback are in English. Other languages are a bonus, never a requirement.

How fast do you answer an application?

Within 24 hours on Telegram, to the username you give in the form. If the form is complete and the portfolio shows the work, the next step is the test edit.
